পাটখাতে সহায়তায় কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংকের সঙ্গে সাউথ বাংলা ব্যাংকের চুক্তি

পাট খাতে সহায়তায় তিনশ’ কোটি টাকার পুনঃঅর্থায়ন তহবিল ব্যবহারে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের সঙ্গে এক চুক্তিতে স্বাক্ষর করেছে সাউথ বাংলা এগ্রিকালচার অ্যান্ড কমার্স (এসবিএসি) ব্যাংক লিঃ। এ লক্ষে সম্প্রতি কেন্দ্রীয় ব্যাংকের কৃষিঋণ বিভাগের মহাব্যবস্থাপক মোঃ হাবিবুর রহমান এবং এসবিএসি ব্যাংকের ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালক ও প্রধান নির্বাহী মোঃ গোলাম ফারুক নিজ নিজ প্রতিষ্ঠানের পক্ষে চুক্তিতে স্বাক্ষর করেন। এসময়ে ব্যাংকের এসভিপি ও হেড অব ক্রেডিট মো. আব্দুল মান্নান, ভিপি জিয়াউল লতিফ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। এ চুক্তি অনুসারে পাট রফতানি সংশ্লিষ্ট বেসরকারি পাটকল ও ব্যবসায়ীরা সর্বোচ্চ ৮ শতাংশ সুদে ঋণ পাবেন।

South Bengal Agriculture and Commerce Bank (SBAC) has signed an agreement with the central bank to utilize Tk 300 crore from Bangladesh Bank to help the jute sector. Md. Golam Faruque, Managing Director and CEO of SBAC Bank and Md. Habibur Rahman, General Manager, Agriculture Credit Department of Bangladesh Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations recently. The bank’s SVP and head of credit, Md. Abdul Mannan, VP Ziaul Latif was also present. According to the agreement, jute exporters and traders will get loan maximum 8 percent interest.
